A
PUSHER Steam Engine
Much
like that used at New Richmond from 1871 to 1950.
Vern actually was
able to get up into this engine when it was waiting for a push job.
The job was to push
other steam trains up the hill on the other side of the river,
going up to East Saugatuck,
and backing up to the same waiting point.
